75 Ball Bingo
75 ball bingo is a widely popular game in North America and Canada. This is one of the variations of bingo played throughout the world. The rules are the same, but this time the caller is running the game with 75 balls. There are other games with 80 and 90 balls too, but the 75 bingo game is most popular in United States gambling houses and casino halls.
How to Play
The 75 ball version of bingo is played like the classic game. There is a 5 by 5 square with horizontal and vertical rows and columns. Within this playing card, there are 25 smaller squares with random numbers. The center square is a free spot that everyone gets to put their markers on. Then there is a ball cage with balls numbered from 1 to 75. Each column has the letters B, I, N, G, O over each one as shown below:
When the game is being played, the dealer or caller will select ball out of 75 possible balls inside of the cage. Usually this cage or bin is being spun around to mix them up randomly like a lottery basket. Each ball contains a letter and number that corresponds to the letter and number on your 75 ball bingo card. Every player has a different card with various numbers and none are alike. When a player purchases a card, the money used to buy your card will go into the jackpot for the winner. Also, players can usually buy more than one card at a time for each round in order to improve their odds.
Competitors can keep track of the numbers being called by either watching the 75 ball calling board or placing chips on the numbers that the caller has called out. In the online version, this is easily in view right in front of you. In many US casinos, the call board is similar to a large billboard with 75 numbers. Winning the 75 Ball Bingo Game
The game is simple. When the caller announces the letter and number, then the players place chips or markers on that number if it appears on the card. If this number is not on your card, then you will wait for the next number to be called and so on. When you are playing with only 75 balls, the game tends to go by quickly because there are fewer balls in play and fewer combinations needed to win.
Winning the game is easy. You only have 24 numbers on your card (plus the free space) that you need to match. The classic game traditionally has an objective goal of getting a "5 in a row" type of pattern. This means you win the game if you have 5 numbers in any straight line that is horizontal, vertical or diagonal. The first person to make a pattern like this needs to shout out "BINGO!" so that the caller can hear you. The caller will then confirm the numbers and determine if you have won. If you have indeed won, then you are awarded the entire pot of cash.
There are other popular variations of 5-in-a-row patterns. There is also 75 ball blackout or "coverall" where players win when they have placed a dauber or marker on every number on their card. Also, there are often times ties in the game such as another person getting a "bingo" at the same time you do. In this case, the pot would be divided between the winners.
